I understand the inconvenience.

Once you reset your device, AVG will automatically unlock your device. But in your case, you are still facing the issue. So I need a photocopy of the locked screen to check if AVG or any other applications locked your device.

Have done a restore factory settings which removed everything. I had not realised that I needed to re-installl AVG to remove the lock so I will do this first before sending you screen views.

I installed the free version of AVG anti virus protection several months ago. Locking of the SIM card was not part of the free protection at that time. I removed the SIM card and replaced with another to find that the phone was locked. The SIM card also does not work in another phone so must have also been damged or locked?
I have tried to unlock by various ways recommended by AVG but nothing has worked. I was also advised by AVG to try a factory settings restore. I have done this losing all previously installed apps but my phone remains locked with two new SIM cards in place. How can I unlockthe phone?
