AVG locking up my control of POS Database

That didn't fix problem, does avg run extra security at certain times of day?  And can that time be moved to different time?

Hello John,

There are chances for this to happen, when the recommended settings of AVG Firewall aren't updated.
Open AVG Internet Security interface, click on "Menu–>Settings–>Components"
Click on "Customize" of enhanced firewall component.
To the right of policies, scroll down to click on "System Rules".
Enable the option for "Windows file sharing and printing", "allow remote desktop connection" and the last entry "Enable stealth mode".
Below policies, click on "Network Profiles", to the right, click on the network connection and change the profile to "Private" if it is set to "Public".
Keep us informed about the status.

Been having problem with AVG locking up my communication with second terminal (server of POS system).  Seems to only happen from 12:30 to 1:30PM ,   POS company thinks AVG is running some extra protection at that time?  If so can this be set to different time or removed?

Hello John,
We always recommend our customer to have an updated version of AVG Internet Security. Yes, AVG Internet Security now comes with new Webcam Protection and Ransomware Protection features to secure the personal files and the private life.
Regarding POS Database:
May I know if the issue is resolved when AVG protection is disabled? Right click on AVG system tray icon and toggle the On/Off slider to disable AVG protection.
Best regards,
Alok.

Should have said it also works if turn avg back on.
