AVG Make Schannel Error

I'm sorry, I was really busy lately so I can't do the test, but I see Mike already tested it. And uninstall AVG make Schannel error gone.

So I think the data from Mike can already cover this Schannel error since the same Schannel error happen to me. I only hope maybe you can update in this post if the solution to make Schannel error gone without uninstall AVG is found.

I really apreciate it Mike if you can share the solution that you got via email from the senior team

I'm using AVG antivirus Free, recently after I update to AVG version 18.2.3046 I checked my event viewer and I see error from Schannel with description "The following fatal alert was generated 40. The internal error state is 252" keep created. I will attach the pic later

This happened after AVG updated to version 18.2.3046 You can see the date installed for AVG in my control panel is the same with the date that Schannel error in event viewer start to show up (the pic will attach later)

Already reinstalled and this still happen

I assume updating AVG to 18.2.3046 was the cause for this. Is it right ?

While my report is only schannel error

Schannel error gone if we uninstall avg, so pretty sure its avg problem(since theres no way that mike pc and my other 4 (brother and sister)pc gonna be the same). Even our win update version and program list wont be the same tbh. Only our os is the same win 7 64bit ultimate

and assuming you already told mike how to send diagnostic file. Isnt that diagnostic file from mike already enough to find where the problem is?
Im replying this right now from mobile phone and i dont know when i can access my pc again since im gonna be away for a while. And this schannel error happen in 4 different pc in my case(different user for different purpose different location and internet too). So i need to send 4 diagnostic logs?

what i want to know right is if mike k problem on schannel already fixed or not? 

Opps, i didn't get the formatting of my log in absolute order i intended. It's hard to proof read in the tiny window of this forum :]

Basically the last "user handle leak" NVCP was upon uninstall and reboot. After reboot it is gone and no more upon further reboot ( of course), and no more schannel error either.

Hello. I would like to report the same issue. I was checking my Event Viewer today and noticed these popping up lately. First instance was 11/29/17 Event 36887 The following fatal alert was received: 70.
And then not until 3/16/18 Event 36888 The following fatal alert was generated: 40. The internal error state is 252.
I do not know if it is because of AVG. But i have not changed much on my system except installing AVG months back that i recall, and update my Browser. Firefox Esr. No Windows Updates ect. When wierd stuff liek this happens it seems to alwasy lead to AV. I actually switched to AVG from another product due to internet issues it was creating. I can only guess it may be the Update feature or it attemting to contact the server. But i honeslyty have no idea. Trying to read up on this type of error and ssl ect is beyond my comprehension. Currently happens on the hour to the minute/second.

I already tested it too.

But mine is a little bit different, I disable AVG component 1 by1 and even change definition and program update to manual but the Schannel error in event viewer still show up. i dont know if avg still run in task manager or not tho, i didnt check them. for now im pretty sure avg causing this cause i check in 4 pc and all of them have avg installed. the reason im saying that avg causing this is because

1. each pc have different time when they got updated to avg latest version (18.2.3046)
2. the schannel error in event viewer happened in all pc after avg updated to latest version(18.2.3046)
if its because other program then it should be happen on the same time for all those pc. but its happen only after avg updated to latest version. i know thats when they happened because i check when avg new version installed on program list (can see my picture above) and its the same day with event viewer schannel error

1 of my pc already reinstall avg before because the invalid file signature. before reinstall avg still old version. after reinstall avg updated to latest version (18.2.3046) and schannel error show up. no schannel error in event viewer before reinstall. only invalid file signature on older version thats why i reinstall.

im planning to uninstall avg for now to see if the problem still gonna show up or not. btw the problem happened when you connected to internet. if you dont connect then its not gonna happen. and in my case the error happen every a few minutes at 1st then later it will happen every 1 hour.

Please reboot your PC, monitor the status and update it to us.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Schannel errors are connected to the encrypted network communication. Does the issue persists after disabling AVG? If so, try to disable AVG by each components and check which components is blocking it. 

Open Internet Security -> Menu -> Settings -> Components -> turn off each components and check with the issue.
