We're glad to look into this & help you.
Please let us know if you've used Avast Clear to completely remove Avast files.
If not, please run Avast Clear on your computer once. After complete removal of both programs, search for avgui.exe or avastui.exe.
If found, please delete them & then try running the Windows update to check if it helps.

I'm trying to update windows 10, and it tells me I need to manually uninstall avg.  I have a paid Avast account, I didn't know I had avg installed.  I uninstalled Avast, looked for avg, didn't find it, ran avg clear, and avg removal, ran redit and removed everything I could find.   What am I missing?
