I still have 6 months on my AVG Internet Security account licence. I have repeatedly been getting the message above. It coincided with my AVG Web browser plug-in stop working. What also happens is that my WiFI signal is gets blocked somehow. The only way I can get onto it again is to use my Iphone Hotspot and then switch onto my home router from there. Very annoying.
I have scanned the computer using AVG, cleared my caches and histories, and did Spybot Scans and Registry scans as well. Nothing seems to alleviate the problem. When I open the AVG panel, there are 2 messages in red now that weren't there days ago: 1) Says, as mentioned "PC Restart needed to enable some security features. 2) It shows the Hacker icon in red reading "Hacker Attacks: Your PC is not Protected" If my machine has been hacked over the Internet, then what good is your product? I have the automatic updates on and occasionally do it manually. What to do now?
