Well, the problem has returned. Every hour or so the full-screen program drops to desktop. It happens with various programs and is very frustrating as this can lead to stability issues. I have scoured the advanced settings but cannot see anything to remedy this.
So… It would appear then that AVG is not fit for purpose?
Since installing AVG Internet Security I have been experiencing issues with full screen programs such as games etc unexpectedly minimising to desktop. After some time troubleshooting, I have identified AVG as the problem. Uninstalling AVG resolves the issue. I need to know if there is a way of preventing AVG from doing this or this program is useless to me.

Again, yes, Gaming Mode is on and has always been on. It would appear it does not work.
Yes. (I had to reinstall the program to check). I'll try once more with this program, but if this issue occurs again, I'm going to have to look for a new antivirus program. This is frankly rediculous.
