Morning…
Have a slight issue with AVG, whereby it will not complete a scan, it seems to stop around the 98% mark, whilst "scanning for vulnerable and sensitive documents"… I've left it running over the night, only to come in the next day still at the same point… It appears to be running still, as the animated graphics are still moving… If, however, I try to stop the scan, it locks up & I have to force it to close… I've tried to repair AVG via control panel/programs, it appears to run & complete, but did not fix the issue. So I resorted to downloading the removal tool from AVG, removed it using this, then installed again using the latest version, and still the same problem…
I was thinking that there could be an issue with the hard drive, so ran the various diagnostic tools from within AVG Tuneup, but it found nothing wrong there…
Could there be an actual fault with this release of AVG Internet security? However, there are 12 PC's within the company, and this issue only appears to effect me…!!
Stuck now as to what to try next. AVG appears to still be providing protection, and the first two stages of the scan didn't find any issues, yet because it's not completing the scan, keeps telling me it's "never been run"…
Anybody had a similar experience and/or managed to resolve it, I'd appreciate some suggestions…?
Kind regards…
