I have a desktop HP computer running the latest version of Windows 10. AVG Antivirus Free (Version 16.111.7797) is no longer finding tracking cookies on Whole Computer Scans. The box is checked "Scan for tracking cookies" in the Advanced Settings>Scans>Scans Settings section. I normally receive 5-15 tracking cookies found and removed on each scan. However, since 9/28/16, there have been "No threats detected" reported. I even ran the repair sequence through Windows 10 and still get the same report. Is there some reason AVG is no longer detecting tracking cookies?
Thank you for your assistance.
Bob
Hello Bob,
We do understand your concern. However, please be informed that if there is any tracking cookies present in your computer, it will detected and AVG will remove the same. It seems that there is no tracking cookies found in your computer. That is the reason why AVG did not detect any.
Thank you.
Hello Bob,

Karthikeyan… I know that you are addressing Jan in under my question, but I stated in my initial message that I'm using AVG Antivirus Free (Version 16.111.7797). By the way, the sudden lack of finding tracking cookies is not indicative that there are none. I go to virtually the same websites daily and AVG always found tracking cookies. I'm sure they are still on my computer.

It is strange that after the september update windows
AVG doesn't find any tracking cookie normaly many
Thanks for the stock reply, but I understand what cookies are and are not. My question is why all of a sudden is AVG NOT DETECTING tracking cookies even when the settings are marked to detect them. AVG Antivirus has been detecting and deleting tracking cookies for years and now it is not. What has changed?
