Someone told me that files I sent them have a virus. So I used Microsoft built-in Windows Defender software to scan the file and it shows two types of malware:
So I loaded AVG Free and ran a full scan. It found NO THREATS. Nothing! How is this possible? Now I am totally lost because Defender seems useless at stopping/repairing this. When I press the Start Actions nothing happens. Is this software an Allowed Threat? I can't see any way to display what threats are allowed.

OK, I ran Deep Scan which took hours and all it found was ONE file which it Quarantined.
