AVG not responsive on MacBook Air with OS10.13.3

I've had a very good chat with the technical support. The procedure I've used successfully is below:
1/. Unistall AVG through the Terminal application, with the command: /Library/Application\ Support/AVGAntivirus/components/uninstall/com.avg.uninstall.app/Contents/MacOS/com.avg.uninstall

2/. Reboot the system
3/. I've moved to Trash the applications that were dysfunctional after AVG's strange behaviour of the old version.
4/. Downloaded and installed these applications
5./ Downloaded a fresh AVG. Installed it. Scanned the computer. The new version of AVG still quarantined a few PDFs (strange, because they are not downloaded or received - I-ve generated them myself, on this very computer…), but the applications are ok

I run AVG Ultimate on MacBook Air with OS10.13.3. 
Out of the blue the File Shield quarantined "viruses" in randomly chosen PDF files that I have generated myself several months ago as prints of various files. I say random because other files, generated in the smae batch, in the same day were not affected.
Then the file shield quarantined trojans in 3 applications/software that use for several years now. I did not do any updates of these applications before the quarantine. The messages recieved:
– MacOS:BitCoinMiner-AS[Trj] 
– file name: libswiftDispatch.dylib
– filepath: /Applications/xxx/path to the file
I said to myself ok, there might have been a threat and I started to contact the developers of the applications that were quarantined (for which I pay licences).
Then I did a minor update of the OS and the computer rebooted.
What it started again, the AVG Ultimate  become irresponsive. I click on the AVG icon and nothing happen. I try to re-install the quarantined applications and the installations fail without indication of what is blocking the installation (AVG or other causes)
Anyone can help here?
