I am not sure what happened. I have updated AVG (or tried to) and am running AVG Zen build 1.113.2.50020 on a Win 10 machine. Previously, I ran a scan of my system about once a week. This week I started a scan and went out. When I returned, AVG said it was scanning, but after 4 hours had 0% done. I rebooted the system and attempted to reinstall AVG but got a message the reinstall failed. Don't think I did much else to the system since last week other than update a photo editing program and a music program. Any ideas about how to get AVG to scan would be appreciated. TIA

To repair your AVG please follow these instructions:
Go to Start -> Control Panel.
Note: Click Settings first if Control Panel is not available in the Start menu.
Open (Programs) -> Programs and Features, or Add or Remove Programs.
Select AVG in the list of programs.
Click the Change or Change/Remove button.
Select Repair.
Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
Restart your computer.
If these steps does not help, please reinstall Visual C++ Redistributables package (both x86 and x64) from the website: http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=30679
