AVG not so free

AVG "free" starts out that way until annoying pop-ups drive you crazy or until you have a problem and call technical support, where thay are "happy" to serve you 24/7, for a "fee," and this is when you discover that AVG "free" is not so "free." So, you are talked into upgrading to ultimate. Than you have a problem with the runnin gof AVG in oneof your computers, and when you try to uninstall from your computer, but you get an error response, and even AVG technical support cannot seem to help you, unless, of course you are willing to pay a technical "fee," for your no longer AVG free.

AVG does not or cannot stand behind its product and provide the service customers who have paid for their not so free product deserve. So, instead it becomes a big scheme to bilk more an dmore money from you. I am sure this will not get posted, but once AVG is removed from my laptop my other dievices are sure to follow.

I upgraded to AVG Ultimate last fall when I had a similar problem. I was not so stupid this time to once again pay for technical help, or pay for some other additional service as was offered. Instead, after reading numerous complaints online and responses from other, I downloaded AVG installer, and removed all of the programs. So, I wasted an hour of my work day on the phone yesterday with "support" at AVG, and even spoke iwth a supervisor, and all they coud offer me was to invite me to pay for their technical support. Instead, they should have provided they same help and advise that I got by researching complaints on line. If my advise to a customer with a complaint was to purchase another product, I would have no business. It's an interesting scheme: AVG has customers purchase their products, than hands off technical support to another company commissioned to sell more products or technical service of their own.
AVG should be ashamed-or you should try to actually offer customer service to back up your products.
