AVG not updating & says it's out of date

Hello Sharon,
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please uninstall AVG Internet Security as per the steps mentioned below:
1. Click here to run the AVG Clear tool.
2. Open the AVG Clear tool, click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
3. Click No in the Windows safe mode dialog.
4. Select the installed version of AVG. Then click 'Uninstall', and restart computer.
To reinstall AVG Internet Security unlimited, please follow the steps mentioned here .

Windows 10 on Chrome.  I am the only admin, but am getting a message saying I'm not.
I get the red "out of date" message, but it is until Sept 2018.
I'm also getting the red "update now" message. When I click on the files to update, I get the files are updated message, but the updates won't go away.
I'm so confused! Please help!
