Avg Offline Installer On Web Had Different Size

We have repoted this bug and it will be fixed soon. You can try the below steps to fix the update issue and if doesn't helps, you should perform reinstallation. 

Please change DNS server address to public DNS in Windows and check if that fix the issue.

  (1) Right click on network icon in the taskbar and click "Open Network and Sharing Center"

  (2) Click "Change adapter settings"

  (3) Select the active/ connected network adapter and right click and select "Properties"

I want to install Avg on my laptop, but when I try to download the offline installer on the website the size that listed for offline installer for windows 64 bit is 284 mb, but when I try to download my browser only show that the file to download is 236 mb

Which size is true ?  Is the file that was downloaded was right ? How can the size is different? 

I will include the pic so you can see the difference

(4) Select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click properties and then select "Use the following DNS server address". (By default "obtain DNS server address automatically" is selected).  When you select "Use the following DNS server address", you can use the DNS address you want. Popular public DNS addresses are google DNS (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4),

After changing the DNS settings, click ok  in the TCP/IP properties wizard. 

Once you change this settings, check if you are able to update AVG.
