I understand the inconvenience caused. Could you share a screenshot of the error message to assist you further, and also check if AVG icon is still available in Finder > applications. You can post the screenshot here on your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

I have AVG on 2 other Mac's.
Until recently I had AVG on my old machine running El Capitan.
I have just wiped the hard drive and restarted.
I have downloaded AVG buy cannot Open "Please remove existing AVG".
There isn't an existing but I note that my software might be too old.
Advice Please.
