Avg on macOS High sierra won't open interface

Although I have not heard anything anymore, the problem in the last version has disappeared.
I now run version 18.7 and the gui is visible again.

Tried several AV, but still AVG looks the best (based on previous use where GUI was working)

Hope to use AVG and i'm even planning to buy an license when it's working.

I understand your concern. Please uninstall AVG from the below location and check if that fix the issue.

Run the uninstall script from /Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/components/uninstall/

Click on this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-for-Mac to install the latest version of AVG AntiVirus for Mac.

I recently installed avg free on a Imac late 2012.

Although I can see avg running in the background, I'm unable to open the avg interface.

Every solution I found on this forum ( which I tried ) was uninstalling AVG or some Windows avg remover tools ( which naturally won't work on macOS )

Anybody else has some clues how to open the interface from AVG on a macOS ?

I tried that.

Although I can see avg running in the background with the command ps i'm unable to see/open the interface.

Checking C:\Programdata or like won't work since I work on a mac :wink:
Uninstalling works fine and installing as well. ( no errors ) 
As said I can see avg running in the background with the 'ps' command but i'm unable to open the interface.

@Santhosh Pannerselvam thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately this didn't help.

Any other suggestion ?  

with all due respect but your developers did not send me an e-mail with the solution. Below you will find the e-mail sent on 14 November.

Please let us know what exactly happens after AVG uninstalling AVG.

Do you get any error message or see any other AVG program installed on your computer?

Check in C:\Programdata and C:\Program files(X86).

/Library/Application\ Support/AVGAntivirus/components/uninstall/com.avg.uninstall.app/Contents/MacOS/com.avg.uninstall to uninstall AVG from your Mac computer?
