AVG Online Security Firefox Discontinuation

I am shocked and disappointed AVG have taken this action, especially with no notice. I have been a supporter of AVG for many years and told everyone about your company - I feel like this is a very poorly considered decision.
My immediate problems are: (i) I now have no protection and you have forced me to choose to either change my browser or change my web protection and I need to do that in a hurry when I don't really have time this morning - thanks! (2) I have paid for a contract and still have 227 days left on that contract. 
AVG clearly can't be trusted, so I am really unsure about staying with this company. I use Firefox because I refuse to use Google and Microsoft, so I guess these two things mean you are actually wanting to shrink your customer base - great move!
You are clearly not going to supply the service I purchased, so please confirm you will refund my subscription!
