Check the version of AVG program installed on your PC (Open AVG Internet Security > Menu > About). If you are having the latest version (19.8) and you're running on Windows 7 and higher platfortms, please try changing the google DNS settings as mentioned in this article and proceed updating the AVG program. Restart your PC to save the changes made and let us know the outcome.

I have an AVG out of date notice. When I try to resolve this I find that it refers to AVG applications updates. These are set to update automatically but when I try to resolve the problem the update fails to complete. Can someone help to resolve this problem please?
