AVG paid version not updating

Please let us know the version of AVG installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About).
Also, as we're uncertain about the icon about which you're concerned, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it?

I keep getting a red circle around my 'internet security' icon and the message 'not protected'.  When I click 'Fix Now' it goes through the motions, and I even get the 'permission' screen on my laptop.  Then I get a popup on the lower right corner saying that it updated successfully and I am now protected, but the red 'warning' in the 'internet security' icon is still there and AVG still wants me to 'Fix Now'.  Help!
