We would like to clarify that AVG Password Protection will work only when you have AVG Antivirus free or AVG Internet Security.
Hence, please open AVG Antivirus free program window.
Click on "Menu->My Subscriptions->Enter a valid activation code".
Please enter the code that you see on AVG MyAccount for AVG password protection.
You can then check on "my subscriptions" window of AVG Antivirus free whether option to install and activate AVG password protection is appearing.
If yes, click on it and check whether it is getting activated.

Today I renewed my AVG Password Protection. I got verification, as expected, via email, and accomplished a download. However, what actually arrived was AVG AntiVirus Free. No desktop icon was generated for Password Protection.
So, I'm confused. Is the current Password Protection feature a component of Antivirus Free, or is is still a separate feature?
