Hi Stuart,

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.
There is an ongoing issue with the Password protection feature. Our developers are already aware of it & working on it to fix it shortly.
Meanwhile, performing a clean installation is the work around provided. 
To do so, please follow the steps mentioned in below provided articles :
Uninstall AVG using AVG Clear in safe mode
Install, activate AVG Internet Security
Note : Please ensure that you run AVG Clear in safe mode.

Hi, I've got a big warning on my AVG saying my password protection is on active.  When I go to press the "Turn on"  password protection button on my avg dashboard it flashes to "fixing" for about half a second then just goes back to the red "turn on" button.  So basically I cant get it to turn on. 
Can anyone help with this?
