AVG PC Tune-up has caused problems with my video playback

Hi,

I have installed AVG PC Tune-up on my laptop.  During installation, I remember it recommending changes to video, which I agreed to.  Unfortuantely, my video quality is now unwatchable.  The image stutters, as if the frames per second have been massively reduced.

How do i reverse this.  I notice there is an option to reverse changes but I'm worried that if i select that it will reverse all changes.  Can I just reverse this?  Or temporarily reverse it when I'm watching video?

Please advise,

john

Hi Alan, I'd already looked at that but it only seems to give me the option of undoing all changes.  And then i supose i'd have to go through the whole process again in the hope that I can choose to retain video quality?  That would be a ball ache.  Is there no other way? john

Alan, I can see from where you're sitting that I look like a complete idiot but have you tried this process yourself?  From dashboard, I click 'Undo Changes'.  That takes me to an AVG Rescue Centre screen that gives me the following options:
* AVG 1-Click Maintenance
  312 modified settings
* AVG Program Deactivator
  3 Disabled programs.

I choose the first, and click Restore.  That displays a pop-up asking me if I want to 'restore the following backup?'.  I'm not game to hit OK because I'm guessing that this will undo all changes.

Please explain where I am going wrong.
