I am running Windows 10 Pro, I5 processor and 16GB RAM. Installed AVG PC TUNEUP (PCT) and all worked well for three days. No Microsoft Updates were performed in this period. PCT then started to be very slow in waking and as a consequence not starting the sleeping programs when selected. I uninstalled PCT and now all the programs that were shut down by PCT have lost the links in the user roaming profile and cannot be started at all. As a computer systems engineer with more than 48 years experience I ran sfc /scannow which I expected would resolve any file linking or orphanising issues with the file system. This is very disappointing as I have been using AVG for many years and I am not happy with this outcome.
