I have paid for this service for unlimited for two years but now when I open the programme I am asked to upgrade and pay. What is going on?

I'm sorry to hear about this. Please share a screenshot of the AVG user interface (which is asking to upgrade the program) to assist you further. You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
