AVG PC Tuneup update caused loss of access to many applications

I regret for the inconvenience caused.

We have already informed our developers regarding the issue after updating AVG TuneUp to the latest version 20.1.

We will release a fix regarding it as soon as possible.

Yesterday, AVG Tuneup was automatically updated on two of my PCs (a desktop and a laptop).  After that update, I could no longer access Microsoft Office applications installed on those PCs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.), Firefox and others applications. 

After online research, I restored the desktop PC to a restore point two days old.  There was no improvement.  I uninstalled all programs updated that day, including AVG Tuneup, there was no improvement. 

Overnight, AVG Tuneup on my second laptop was automatically updated.  Now it has the same problem as the other two PCs noted above.  The AVG Tuneup version on the second laptop is 20.1 (build 1889). 

Is there a solution to this problem?
