This isn't the experience we wanted you to have with our new version of AVG TuneUp.
Development of old AVG TuneUp has been discontinued a few years ago because of software updates, operating systems and other applications, as all the software environment evolves.
That is why the new version of AVG TuneUp that you can see now has been developed. The product is more stable and fully compatible with the latest operating system and programs.
We are still working on the product and new features are being added to it, also based on customer inquiries and comments. Therefore we would appreciate your feedback.
Regarding MS office, I suggest you to check if the program is put to sleep. If yes, I request you to wake the program and check if you're able to access it.

I was very disappointed to see that without any prior warning or notice a new version of AVG Tune-up was downloaded and and installed on my PC. Upon further review, I noticed:
1, The robust tool set that I came to rely on for many years has been gutted to to handful utilities that can be had anywhere else.
2. Privacy setting were changed to share all info with AVG (I guess this is the default).
3. My MS Office stopped working (which can't be repaired and now requires a complete uninstall and reinstall on all my PC's).
Rather than deal with all the this pain for a now unremarkable software package, I decided to rollback and remove AVG Tune Up and all its traces from my machines (the pain vs reward ratio makes it no longer worth it - plus boot times have since improved) and will not be renewing my subscription at expiration.
Sorry for the rant - this is very frustrating and felt the need air my grievance.
