AVG popups within Internet Security. I do not wish to constantly view ads for other avg products

Your answer, while polite, is very corporate. The performance scan notification is a constant annoyance for many long time paying customers. I have subscribed for a good amount of time. The performance scan part of the program in addition to the popups, if not blocked, lessens the desirablility of the program. I know AVG is, like any business, always looking for more revenue. Still, I do not like seeing the performance scan as a constant reminder that I have not signed up for additional avg products.  The increase in cost for every renewal is not a plus for those who have supported avg for a long time. There is no reward for staying with AVG over time.

Hello, William.
Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns. Many of our users find these offers useful. We handpick them from our own products or those of partners we feel can add to your security or digital experience.
Also the frequency of pop ups can be controlled directly from the app or can be even turned off. Open AVG Internet Security, click on Menu -> Settings -> General -> PopUps. Then uncheck "Show offer pop ups for other AVG products", click OK to save changes.

Regarding the performance scan along with virus scan, it can not be excluded unless you install a paid or trial version of AVG PC TuneUp.

I am running avg internet security version 18.3.3051 on windows 10. I have been using the software for a number of years and have liked it. Now avg is involving a performance add-on after the scan, which seems too fast anyway. I am totally fed up with the constant appearance of avg selling other products when I have paid for the service. In addition, each subscription update has resulted in higher prices. I think AVG has become deaf to consumer complaints about the adds within the program. I am going to probably not re-subscribe when my subscription expires. There are other good programs out there. AVG, you have not removed the add part of the scan after having much time to do so. Sad to see a good program become bloated with self-interest. WD.
