Thanks for this encouraging reply. Hope the solution is found shortly as I am reinstalling every few days to stay updated on the virus database.

My AVG Internet Security application cannot perform virus definition update. Error : "Invalid file signature. Setup will terminate".
2 levels of AVG support technicians have tried to fix the problem online without success.
The problem may have arisen with the latest win 10 update (the one where we lost the very useful Windows Briefcase for good).
Anyone experienced this bug??

No, as I said 2 levels of AVG experts tried to fix the problem by taking control of my desktop remotely without success. I am waiting for AVG support to go up one more level to the development team.
