Since installing AVG yesterday on my Windos 10 machine, If I try to open my external hard drive, I get the error message: "The Drive or network connection that the shortcut link 'External Drive.lnk' refers to is unavailable"
In AVG's "Hacker Attacks" page, if I disable "Enhanced Firewall", and "Password Protection", then the hard drive is accessible. I have 2 questions:
Is there an AVG "Ignore" list that I can add the hard drive to?
Should I take AVG seriously and see the hard drive as a threat.

Sometimes, the network/external devices might be unavailable, if the required firewall settings are not modified.
Please follow the steps in this article to modify the 1st two system rules (Allow windows file & printer sharing, remote desktop connections)
& check if it helps.
