well, got my device back today with new w7 op sys since the previous new op sys apparently been bugged by avg,  after avg pro been installed to the previous new op sys by mistake or by disobedience.
this time, according to my instruction, the repair shop installed nothing asides from the new op sys, and the avg pro 9 bug is still preventing avg from installing. "Installation failed" with error code 0xC0070643  it says after a while of using up my prepaid gb during the always failing installation attempts.
is this a joke or did avg really planted an unremovable bug into the -almost new- devive, to prevent avg free from ever been installed again to the device?
as i mentioned before, avg pro cannot be accessed by visually impaired users who depend on hicon black, and it was not my fault that the repair shop ignored my instructions and installed avg pro9 instead of avg free.
this avg bug may been designed to blackmail users into purchasing avg pro after removing an unwanted avg pro9 or the  trial upgrade from the device, or to punish those who install an avg pro9 copy w/o a valid license, but avg pro 9 was installed against my orders.
now this is my second device that became bugged by avg, the first one was my mistake, by accidentally clicking the 14 day trial upgrade.
after having to uninstall avg in order to get windows firewall back, avg free cannot be installed again, and getting a new op sys won't help, as i figured today.
having only an old 1gb ram device left now with antivirus protection by avg free to safely go online, the 2 bugged devices now only good for offline use since other antivirus programs are all completely inconsiderate towards visually impaired users and therefore useless to me.
this is the worst nightmare, and i had lots of issues with inconsiderate software before.
i understand that avg does not like it when some punks install unlicensed avg pro copies, but i have no use for inaccessible avg pro interface and avg should provide an option to remove this bug, and allow to install avg free.
anyhow, the bug comes also with the trial upgrade, rendering otherwise fully functioning devices useless to visually impaired users who depend on hicon after uninstalled this unwanted trial upgrade.
Really not my fault that the repair shop installed the wrong avg version instead of avg free.
if this bug been created for the purpose of preventing installation of avg free after uninstalled avg pro9, or the trial upgrade, then it can be considered a hostile act against visually impaired avg free users.

for the time and money spent on this avg bugging issue i could have purchased a new device by now, where avg free can be installed.
avg brrn doing more damage than any virus could ever do to the devices, so maybe a virus could eliminate this avg bug from the device, since installing a new op sys won't help. thus i will go online unprotected with the bugged devices in hope to catch an anti avg bug virus. having no other hope left for the bugged devices after well over a month of trying everything to get avg free back

I have this problem too! Also, I try to read gray text on gray bkGd when using AVG (Pro or Free). My expensive accessability program () won't help and can't read AVG aloud!  The blue and the gray text is better on the latest release April 2022, but still hard on my poor eyes! I use AVG TuneUP, Driver Update, and Internet Security.
I think the European Union requires software to be accessabile just like required in the USA. AVG is still not  accessibile! PLEASE fix!

thanx for the tip. as expected, avg remover did not find anything on system since it's extra virgin. ran remover anyway, restarted system, removed the avg remover and tried again to install avg free from saved download (212mb). getting a different error code when try to install avg offline (0xE…), and offline installations fail much faster than online attempts. avtually it should install on or offline.
can highlight the complete error code on install page, but no option to copy it. you should know which other error code that is.
avg free refuses to install, no matter what. i been using the saved avg free setup before on my devices, never had an issue with installation. the setup is definitely not damaged, but avg will no longer install after had the trial upgrade or the avg pro 9 on the computer.
installing new windows won't fic the bug.
looks like i have to find an avg pro bug eating virus to get my bugged devices infevted with, then try install another new w7 ulti op sys :P.

i been trying to submit this as feedback, but the feedback repeatedly failed on that task, so here we go on community. at least there should be a better chance here to get the attention of some avg staff.

ok folks, fun is over!
a couple years back i invested much time and effort (due to multiple disabilities) to submit a criticizing feedback concerning avg product quality/accessibility, referring to avg free and avg pro. nothing has been done sinc then to improve the appearance and accessibility of avg product.
either the avg staff who received my feedback has no concerns at all about avg product quality/accessibility, or forwarded my feedback to other avg staff who didn't care at all about avg product quality/accessibility. who bothers to read longer or negative feedback, or cares about the company's fate, except maybe the general manager, who likely never gets to read any feedback.

couple years back, after a computer store installed avg pro 7 with the new w7 op sys, despite my request for avg free, i was informing avg per confirmed feedback on the avg website about avg pro 7 and older avg pro versions having a user interface that is unreadable and thus useless to visually impaired users who depend on hicon black for accessibility, since it comes with a blinding white user interface, where visually impaired users cannot even spot the pointer, nor can read any of the black on white text, same as with all the other antivirus programs that are completely inconsiderate or hostile towards visually impaired customers (such as the most popular bloody avast or avira). not sure tho if hostility towards visually impaired users boosts popularity of an antivirus program :stuck_out_tongue:
little doubt, only by chance avg comes with a readable (dark bg) user interface. why else would avg pro remain visually user hostile throughout the years, despite my early feedback to make avg aware of this issue?
it can’t be in the best interest of avg to piss off millions of visually impaired users by keeping avg pro inaccessible to them. how arrogant and/or stupid must programmers be to simply ignore such essential requirements for accessibility?

back then it was no big issue with removing that unwanted and unlicensed avg pro 7 and install avg free, but times have changed since then.
some months ago, i accidentally upgraded to a 14 day trial of avg full online protection, which slowed down my computer significantly on a limited speed dial up connection.
no option found to disable that 14 day trial avg firewall in order to reactivate the windows firewall, so i had no choice but to uninstall avg to get windows firewall back. after that, avg free could not be installed anymore, due to non removable residue of the upgraded avg full online protection trial, and i had to install baidu as only alternative with a readable user (main) interface; tho nothing else is readable on baidu, with blinding white pop ups, settings, etc…
upgrading avg did irreversible damage to my op sys, when avg actually rather should protect the op sys.
wtf, how ridiculous is that? and still just the tip of the avg iceberg.

so next i brought my computer to a store for new windows (since baidu can only be considered a temporary and unsatisfactory substitute, in order to be able to get back online with antivirus protection).
then the technician in the store ignored my simple instruction to install and update avg free 2016 with the new installed w7 ultimate, and instead he installed an unlicensed copy of avg pro 9. was little surprise to me that avg pro 9 still comes with an unchanged user interface, as hostile and unreadable as ever for visually impaired users with cataract and other such eye issues.

after uninstall the useless avg pro 9, avg free cannot be installed, only getting installation error, must be due to the non removable avg pro 9 residue that been burned into the new op sys.
my computer been to the store over a month by now due to this avg issue, and they have to install a new op sys again because the uninstalled avg pro 9 prevents avg free from being installed.
they manually deleted all residue of avg pro 9 that been found in the system, but it always comes back to prog files after a sys restore, seems no way to fix the op sys after avg pro 9 has been installed and uninstalleed.

i spent already $50 alone on transportation to the store plus many hours to go there, but my computer is still not ready to safely go online again.

also with avg free 2016, nothing has been done to improve accessibility when op sys is set to  hicon black. only the user interface remains readable; going to program options and it's all unreadable for visually impaired users. a blinding white menu box opens.
how can avg and the others afford to be that inconsiderate towards millions of visually impaired internet users, who will therefore never consider to upgrade to a pro version? how dumb is that?
even tiny programs (f.e. mp3directcut) with a size of only 100kb switch to hicon black if the system is set to hicon black, including all the menu boxes, and additional options to personalize colors, such as for background, graphic level, etc…

imagine a visually impaired avg customer investing in an upgrade , only to find out that the avg pro version is not accessible to visually impaired users. don't you think that this is a very annoying revelation to people who have enough problems already with their disability? shall the visually impaired quit internet and watch tv or what?
even more annoying to find out that the op sys has been damaged by an (unwanted or accidental) upgrade and that avg free cannot be reinstalled after removing avg pro, unless install a new op sys.
the programmers in charge of this should be fired and sued for their arrogance and ignorance.

well, i guess the avg general manager makes billions of $ on profits each year anyway, so never mind pissing off millions of visually impaired customers.
antivirus customers with no visual disability surely don't care much about accessibility for visually impaired customers, as long as they don't develop some eye issues or have friends/relatives with eye issues, but as soon as customers realize the inconsiderate concept of such programs, their trust in competence and  product fades, and who wants to spend for upgrading an untrusted antivirus program?

avg free having this major advantage of a (by chance) readable user interface design over those totally inconsiderate and more popular competitors (avast, avira), and what is avg doing with it? instead of offering a readable menu and a readable avg pro user interface, avg doesn’t care at all about requirements for accessibility and shows us that the readable user interface of avg free was just designed readable by accident, not by consideration.
displaying unlimited ignorance and stupidity does not build consumer trust.
where do such ignorant and inconsiderate programmers come from in the first place? head hunters from irian jaya? maybe it would be smarter to invest in more competent staff for this important job.
when a 100kb freeware program can be considerate with design towards visually impaired users, why can't avg or any other antivirus program be considerate? this remains an enigma to me, and it does avg no favor.

since avg pro represents a major treat to the op sys, i'd be glad to use an alternative antivirus program, but apparently none available so far, for unknown reasons.
ps. even the captcha on avg feedback page could be displayed as visually impaired user friendly, with dark bg and light symbols. all it takes is a bit more consideration.
