We're glad to look into this & help you.
For better clarity, please share us the screenshot of the processes in taskmanager that consumes 100% CPU. 
Also, clarify whether there are any other antivirus installed on your computer. Reason being, multiple security software on the same computer will compete for resources.

My Win 10 PC running AVG Free edition currently has 16 AVG processes listed by the task manager.  Performance sems ok.  Lately, I've been having very poor performance with the task manager showing 100% utilization of the hard drive.  When I removed the anti-tracking function, the disk use problem went away.  Any ideas?  Also of the 16 processes, 5 are AVG Antivirus and 4 are AVG Tuneup UI; is this normal?
