I don't mind the version change.
it is the ability to DOWNLOAD and UPDATE the current version, be it 2016, 2016, or whatever.

if my version is not the current version, then your system should throw up an alert to me to state that I might want to update to the latest version of the software

the VERSION NUMBER should match the numbers in the INSTALL file, be it a full install or a stub.
as it is, 742 (in install file) does not anywhere near match 16.111.xxxx

there should be a FULL VERSION DOWNLOAD link, for the same thing that the stub installer is doing, but have full version. Again, this way I can install without an internet link, or an emergency, or whatever

I am one of the ones with issues of the AVG WATCHDOG. You ahve many frustrated PAYING customers in those questions, let alone free users.
MANY are threatening to leave the AVG product line.
Well, I've used yuour products for many years, and frustration has started to set in, but I thought I'd write to you to show some of the issues you ahve, to see if you can address them, to improve the product line.
Hopefully, as you hve had a good product, you will be interested to improve these
ITEM 1, is the VERSION. (and perhaps the version is responsible for watchdog issue)? First, I had version 2015. I paid for support. 2015 kept virus updates ok, BUT WHY does that not automatically offer to update my software to version 2016?
Also, version 2015, in the ABOUT screen, lists it as 2015.
BUT, version 2016 shows as 16.111.xxx
AND, your INSTALL stub states AVG INternet Security 742???
NONE of this stuff matches !
AND, you only have ability to download the stub, not full version (or I could not find the link)
I prefer FULL VERSION DOWNLOAD, so it is not downloading during intstall, in case I have to rebuild a machine, or have no internet access.
SO, see attached links (your menu does NOT show easy way to attach actual image), perhaps you
can reveiw this issue, and make these versions more uniform

Please be informed that after the 2015 version, the AVG has been migrated to a new version with advanced features like using a single product for multiple devices and use of AVG Zen network. This changes have made the version number and the download link to look more simpler and user friendly to use. These changes were helped most of our customers to easily maintain AVG in all their devices and got very good feedback on this changes. However, the issue regarding the watchdog error, we are working on a permanent fix and our senior team is working hard on this issue.
