AVG products slowing my computer's performance

i have re-installed all avg programs.  i have done this multiple times previously and that particular fix only works for a limited time before this problem acts up again.  i will not include a screenshot of task manager as it will not accurately reflect the on and off again nature of the problem i have already described.  answer me this.  is it normal for all avg processes in task manager to turn on and off (for mere seconds each) repeatedly for hours at a time with each process only reflecting cpu usage of 0.01%?

Hi Anthony,

We will help you to resolve the issue. We have to escalate the case to our senior team to analyse the issue and to help resolve it

We request you to reinstall all your AVG program that is both AVG Internet Security and AVG TuneUp - Unlimited programs on your PC, so that we can collect the AVG file logs for analyzing the issue.

Also share us the screenshot of the AVG services in the task manager for verification.

Once you reinstall those programs again on your PC please let us know to proceed further.

Buck, 0.1% CPU usage shouldn't slow down the computer's performance.
The User Interface and antivirus services of AVG will usually run in the background and it shouldn't consume more CPU.
We request you to monitor and provide all possible screenshot of task manager "processes" window, where you see list of AVG services.
We would like to investigate what kind of services is appearing often.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

my task manager shows a half-dozen AVG processes running on and off in seconds-long intervals at 0.1% for hours on end every day.  this is a recent development that slows, stalls and stutters my computer's performance.  removing all AVG products resolved this issue.  is ending my business with AVG the only way to resolve these AVG-based performance issues?

Thank you, Buck.
The AVG services listed in your task manager are normal and it implies those components are actively protecting your PC.
