Hello Barry,
Please be informed that AVG Free Antivirus/AVG Internet security minimum system requirement in C Drive is 2 GB. So you have to keep 2 GB of space in C drive to perform their task.

Why does AVG free require 1GB of space on my hard disk? The quarantine is empty and the history logs have been cleared and no options installed.
