AVG Protected Area Password

When trying to enter my settings for the various scan settings I am confronted with a password request to enter a 'Protected Area' but what is this password? Don't recall setting any other password then my account password at registration when purchasing software, which incidently does not work in this area?
Have tried re-setting my password, and even tried to uninstall and re-install but again asks for a password to do this, and again my account password does not work??? Cannot even uninstall??
Any tips, fixes or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Initially, we'd like to clarify that the User Interface password of your AVG Internet Security is not the same as your AVG My Account password.
Regrettably, the AVG User Interface password cannot be reset.
To remove the User Interface password in your AVG Internet Security, you need to perform a uninstallation of your AVG Internet Security using our 'Clear' tool and then reinstall it.
Using our clear tool to uninstall AVG Internet Security will make sure that any/all traces of AVG will be removed from your computer.
