Carried out the "Repair" as directed in your reply to my issue, but with no resolution. In fact I did it twice to ensure that I had not missed anything the first time arround.
So , Is there any way to resolve this , all the other scans are running , "Deep scan" etc but not the boot scan.

Hello,
Uploaded latest installation ad virus info and now the "Boot time scan" does not run. At restart it shows a bar in middle of screen with "AVG Loading and a green bar going left to right" I left it for at least 10 minutes but still nothing but the above , eventually had to use a hard boot.
Any help to clear the issue would be appreciated.
