I have had AVG free for years. This year, I updated to Windows 10, and things were fine until today. Today I got a notice my protection was out of date, and my updating failed.
Since that time, I have found the other install it was whining about, and removed it. Still a fail, but no message as to why. I uninstalled, which also failed. Then I used the removal tool.
New download, fail fail fail.
I'm sensing a trend here, haha. So, I'm stuck now. Any help? Or will I have to find another product after all these years of happy usage of AVG?

I am having the same problem. Message is "Update has detected running installation." Not sure where to look for the installation. Can you please send me the instructions to resolve this issue. Thank you.
