AVG remote access applet

Hello Marc,
We are sorry to know that. To stop this applet from running, we suggest you to open "Task Manager" and right click on "LMI" service, select "Open File location". Remove LMI folder completely from that location and see if that fix the issue.
Thank you

Ages ago, an AVG rep remotely accessed my computer (windows XP 32 bit) to solve a problem. Since then, from time to time when booting up my computer I get multiple copies of this applet originating from AVG which keeps populating itself after attempts to delete it. What can be done to get this permenantly deleted from my system.
The AVG applet indicates that it was powered by "LogMeIn" and the wording is basically that "the session has expired…and to start a new session the applet needs to download again".
Thanks for any assistance to get this resolved.
Marc
