Hi all,
I am happy to see that your issue is resolved.
Thanks for posting back solution.
My computer doesn't have "PureLeads" in the control panel's remove program.
I've tried just about everything I can think of, making sure it doesn't connect to a proxy server and all tht.. Please help.
Like I said. Go to the control panel and find PureLeads on the list of installed programs. Once you find it, right click on it, and uninstall it.
How do you remove the PureLeads installation? We had the exact same problem and I have been at it for about six hours now trying to find a fix.
I got a threat alert from AVG indicating I had a problem with Adware Generic5.AYPP in c:\Windows\SysWOW64\plsapp.dll
I told it to take care of it. As soon as it took care of it, all my browsers went haywire. None of them could connect to the Internet. The internet is there and it works fine, just don't try using a broser (IE or Chrome) or it will give you a notice that you're not connected to the Internet. I have already verified that I am connected by downloading over 1 gigabyte of Windows Updates to the machine. I tried rebooting, I tried re-installing the browsers. No deal. As soon as I try to access any website, boom! No internet connection. I tried contacting your chat support and the dude was trying to sell me support to remove a virus and then hung up on me abruptly which I did not appreciate. What I need to know is what Operating System files did AVG mess with that caused my brosers to all quit working. This is not a browser problem.
Don't worry. I was able to fix this myself. Just go to the Control Panel and remove the installation for PureLeads from your PC and the browsers will work again.
