Seems like the installation failed. The look of the screen is not normal so I have big problems using the computer. Seems like everything is there, but the desktop is black except the windows that I can find. I tried to download a file from Dell: DellSystemDetectLauncher.exe, but it fails to look into the computer. I hope you see what happened on the screenshot. There are two files with long logs, that I could send.
I am greatful for any further assistance.

This is the first time I use the community forum so I am excited to find out if somebody can help me. I have used AVG free for many years, and I have always been happy with the result. March15th I tried to download AVG 2015 because I realized my antivirus protection was not updated. It could not initialize because another installation was already running. I tried MANY times, in vain. March 21st I bought AVG Internet Security 2015. Same thing happened. I tried to find a solution on Internet, and looked up a thread (AVG 2015 uninstal) where Paul Tyler and Alan Binch is communicating. I downloaded AVG Remover(64bit) 2015. Did not save all my important data, unfortunately. Suddenly the message came it was updating 7 out of 54 files. It was working till next day. Then suddenly the computer seemed to be OK, until I saw a black screen behind the Internet browser! I do not understand what the remover file did to my computer. First I could go on Internet through Google chrome, but now I cannot find the icon. Fortuneately I have been able to copy my Documents and Pictures and store the files on an extern disc so the files must be there. BUT, I am not able to open them! Any consult would be much appreciated.

Have finally managed to download from the link above. Unfortunately decided to save (not sure to where) before sending it and the link has just disappeared. So what next please? I am now left with a screen showing the AVG Firewall Diagnostic Tool. What now please?

Just to make it clear. I did not get to the stage of sending or giving my details. Thanks.

I have had a similar problem since AVG was remotely installed on my computer in February. I have continually been in touch with them (approximately 10 times!) and have spent hours trying to sort the problems out with them. They escalated the problem to Level 2 (whatever that means) and promised that I will be contacted again shortly. This has happened more than once and, nearly a month later, I am still waiting, no further forward and limping on with a partially working computer!  All I keep getting is surveys to fill in about my customer satisfaction!!! Have bought and been a happy customer of AVG for ages but after this… never again. Sorry I can not be more helpful. Good luck.

Gunhild, please make sure you are logging into AVG my account with your registered email address and click on "Products" tab to view your product details.
