Hi, sadly, despite doing all the above, this problem STILL persists, and am getting the pop up 3-4 times a day still.
(ps, accidently pressed rthe 'best answer' by mistake when trying to write this reply!!)
Really not sure what to do now, apart from ditching AVG altogether and looking for another program to use…
Assume AVG staff no longer interested in 'support'.
Can't be bothered to even have the decency to reply to requests for information now.

No longer interested in wasting time with a company that has no interest in it's users.
As mentioned previously, am now dumping AVG from my devices, and moving to a product that
A) works as it should, and
B) has a decent 'support' service, which AVG DO NOT…
4 weeks of stupid 'popup' that will not go away, needs sorting, as now several times a day…
AVG not worth the effort…sadly, become too big for their boots…
OK, recieved the e-mail as mentioned, ran the program, then sent the results to the requeeated address by return (on 10th Jan) Had a reply on 11th Jan saying they had recieved the e-mail and would contact me shortly?
to date, not heard anything, not even in 'spam folder' (avg is on the 'whitelist!)
This is now happenning more and more, started at 3 times when I did the 'repair' and now is at least 6 times a day…
If there qappears to be no solution to this from you, will sadly have to remove AVG from my machine/phone, and find a more 'stable ' program to use.

Deletion coming, and I will find a more reliable and helpful program…
Fed up with this repetitive popup requesting installation, and then 'hanging' my PC…

Hi, OK, tried the suggestion above, but still have the problem.
When 'repaired' AVG goes away, reports it is repaired and asks to restart to complete the 'repair'. Do so, and still have the same problem.
Have removed aVG altogether, (AVG & AVG ZEN) and rebooted PC, again. Removed EVERY reference to AVG from main drive in case anything being left behind from old installation, and left PC OFF overnight.
Tried re-installing from a 'clean' download from AVG site first thing this morning. By lunchtime have now had 2 of these 'pop ups' again!! so still not sorted …
A window opens, congratulating me and stating that 'your licence is now activated, and your new AVGantivirus free can now be installed' and a box with 'install now'
This, despite the fact AVG free is already installed and running!!
When I click on 'install now' the computer then puts up a notice saying' 'AVG user interface is not responding' and offers the choice 'close program' or 'wait for program to respond'
If you wait for it to respond, it never does, no matter how long you wait (tried at least 2 hours!!)
so if you then try to 'close program' you then get the following alert box..
'the application is not responding, it may respond if you wait, do you want to end this process'
If you wait (again) still nothing happens, so the only solution is to 'end the program. This solves the problem, temporarily, because again late on, the same happens again, and again...
I have tried removing AVG completely from my PC, and then rebooting, and then re-installing AVG from scratch, yet, despite this, it STILL continues to put up these boxes...
Would add screenshots, but not able to do so..Any help appreciated, as never had this problem in all the years I have used AVG free, but now getting very annoyed at this!!

Hi, yes, sadly, exactly the same popup, and exactly the same responses if you try to 'install' or 'close' the popup.
As mentioned, the only way to get rid of it, is to click on 'install now' which then brings up the dialogue box 'AVG user interface is not responding, close program, or wait for it to respond' shown in second screenshot,
Waiting for it to respond, and it never does, close program and you then get the dialogue box as shown in 3rd screenshot, and you have to choose 'end process' to clear. This then works OK for a while, then the first screenshot popup appears again at random intervals, and the whole process starts again.
