AVG repeatedly flagging similar OneDrive files disrupting work

Hi

My AVG software has recently started flagging OneDrive files numerous times every day (I think periodicity is in some way linked to OneDrive updating). The files are not identical but have similar, complex alpha-numeric names.

Key data follows:

to your Quarantine because it was infected with Win32:Malware-gen

I don’t know whether it is actually malware or false positives, nor do I know what the files are or where they are originating from everyday.

If not malware, is AVG quarantining legitimate files that will adversely affect OneDrive?

I’ve looked for the OneDriveTemp folder but cannot find it in the location given or elsewhere.

Please advise how to rectify matters.

Lookss like AVG is flagging OneDrive files possibly due to heuristic detection. If they aren’t malware, it might be a false positive. Try adding OneDrive to AVG’s exceptions list and see if that stops the issue. Also report it as a false detection to AVG so they can review it.
