Update-my system manager application is version 1.6 and my android version is 2.3.6.

Hi all,
To to investigate this situation further we would like to ask you to follow these steps:

- Please download "Customer_service_V3.apk" into your mobile device.
https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/Android/Customer_service_V3.apk

- Please install "Customer_service_V3.apk".
- Once installed, run it, the support tool will be loaded. (AVG Customer support utility).
- Tap to "Send" button.
- Once the data will be collected, choose Gmail or other email client to send the export.
- To body of the email please enter your email address and name of detected application.
- Please send the email.

I have the same problem with the Galaxy 3 and Android 4.3 on T-Mobile just like Bob.  I tried to remove it with no success.  I updated AVG.  My AVG Antivirus FREE for Android is version 4.0.1.2.192271.  I believe the virus database version is 647118002-7594-3722.

My AVG anti-virus Free version is 4.0.1.2.192271. How do I check to see if I am running the latest AVG. my device name is SGH-T999… Thanks for the quick response.

I have the exact same issue on my Galaxy Note 3 with Android 4.4.  I have the latest AVG Mobile.   It says it cannot be deleted because it's system manager installed by vendor (T-mobile).  Is this a false positive ?

I have a smart phone Galaxy 3 with Android 4.3, which is not unlocked. My AVG free is reporting "system manager application" a malware threat. I am hesitant to use the removal button until I learn that it is ok to delete. One person in a blog claimed he tried the removal button and it did not help.  I suspect this app is bloatware from my provider T-Mobile but have not been able to come up with any answers. Js there anything I can do besides ticking the ignore button. I would like to get rid of it, if it is malware. Thank you in advance for your rapid response.

Alex, Please note that this Community deals mainly with the technical queries regarding AVG Windows products. AVG Android support is provided through email only. Please click on the following link (http://avgclick.me/AVGtechnical) and fill out your details, select as Android then the name of AVG Program that you installed in your mobile and in description please completely explain about your issue and finally click on Email option. Also when filling out your details choose Yes for the Question "Are you currently using any paid/trial AVG products?" even though you may be using the Free version and fill out necessary details and click on Email option. The AVG mobile team will reply back to you via email with a resolution.
