I signed-up for advance AVG protection giving credit card # etc, but when went to use 'tune-up', there was no activation of the service. And 'Account' link had no record of my card # which I gave them, nor any record of my new account. Led me to believe either AVG merely ignored my registering or they had a glitch in their payment-page. So I decided not to re-signup for the service. However,
—two months later I get charged $42 at my bank, wha-la ! To make matters worse, I can not even send AVG any comment or complaint over their 'contact us' page–becuz it will not let me 'send' without listing an order # or receipt # . . .neither of which they ever supplied from the getgo. I notice other folks here have had similar or same problem. The faux charges are not posted to the bank statement until months or years later. Might be a glitch in card # registration process or perhaps a ghost in AVG's software machine. – Douglas
