Hello Freddy,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
The AVG Ultimate have the latest version of 2016, please check if you have the latest version and check if AVG is up to date in your computer. You can also reduce the system usage of scan. Please run the AVG scan and at the bottom, you can use a scroll bar to change the scan speed, change that to :"Dynamic", so that system resource will not be utilized more.
Thank you
Hi AVG Community,
after updating my AVG Ultimate 2015 I ran a scan for the entire PC.
The fans of my PC and the fan of my watercooling suddenly went on maximal speed and got really loud to the point that I thought they could be damaged if they kept spinning at that speed.
I looked into the Task Manager and it showed that the task "AVG Scanning Core Module - Server Part" has extreme high CPU usage. The task used 99 - 100% of the CPU.
I fear that this problem will cause damage to my PC as the fans are spinning at extreme speed and everything heats up. The problems were not there before the update.
Whenever I start a scan the CPU usage of the task "AVG Scanning Core Module - Server Part" starts at 14 - 16% and slowly climbs up until it jumps to 99 - 100%.
Is this a bug caused by AVG? How can I fix this?
Thanks.
