AVG Scan just slow down my computer

Hi Avinash,

I'm not sure I'll have to check. Right now its running so I don't want to stop it. But its been running for 1:50 minutes and its only at 71%.

The problem is that I can use the computer since everything is sluggish and I can open applications.

Hello Dan. Sorry to hear that. Are you running the scan in fast mode? AVG scan may utilize some additional resources when it is set to fast mode. You could have a look at this article http://avgclick.me/RepairAVG . Thank you.

Why is it that when AVG is scanning the computer, it then renders it usesless until its done all its scan. I lose the computer for over 1 hr.

1. Is that normal?
2. Can it be fined tuned?
