Hi, I have attempted to scan my laptop with AVG this morning and it appears to be stuck on 7%. I couldn't even x out of it. It just faded to a pale grey rectangle a message saying AVG was not responding and to shut down the program.
I paid £60 in April for another year's subscription, so I'm not all that impressed! I've never before had this problem with just the free version!
Please help, my devices need to be covered for viruses, etc. Many thanks in advance.

Thank you for your reply. My problem seems to be fixed now. Don't know how because I downloaded the free version of AVG and my premium version disappeared! It too was stuck on 7%. It said restart so when I did I seemed to have lost my windows completely. Anyway I logged out and then when I restarted my laptop it was OK. Goodness knows what was happening, but I have just done a full scan and tune up. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

If we activate the paid version through the free version, the program will prompt to restart in order to install all the premium components. After the restart the latest patches will be applied to the program, which might have done the trick. Thank you for updating the status. Have a great day!
