Hello Peter,
We are sorry to know that. In this case, we suggest you to run AVG repair and it will change all the settings to default. After which you can set the AVG scheduled scan and see if that works fine.
Thank you
I have recently noticed that AVG has been doing scheduled scans when it is not supposed to be. I have set it so that it runs a scheduled scan as 03:00 AM in the advanced setting menu as Im not using my PC then and scanning takes up a lot of CPU power. My PC is on at this time as I hardly ever turn it off. However it always runs a scheduled scan during the day at seemingly random times, which as I said uses a lot of CPU power.
I have tried pausing the scan and even stopping it from the reports menu in AVG but it doesn't do anything. I have even tried stopping the AVG Watchdog service in task manager thats using all of the CPU but it won't let me stop the process.
Is there any way I can stop this from happening as it is hindering the use of my PC as a lot of my programs run incredibly slow when AVG is scanning my PC, which is why I set to to scan at 03:00 AM.
