FIVE MONTHS on - my adblocker has stopped working !!! so everything is covered in ads and useless!!! Why is this??? Do I need to change to another browser now?

yes it is useless, especially when it blocks adblock plus chrome extension. AVG block adblock plus but can't replace the function it is blocking - its showing all the youtube ads,
Congratulations. Adblocker still fails to block adds. Whats up? are your staff just lazing about? 6 Months and nothing.
Maybe AVG was the wrong answer, maybe a better anti-virus and web browser is my best bet, what do you think?
So a whole week has passed and still no more news or information about when the adblocker will be fixed and or reinstalled to the actual working function that it once was. Not only this but I can see that one of the previous replies to my inquiry was edited to remove the information that stated it would be about a week to be repaired. I am finding the lack of clarity to be extremly frustrating, I would much rather be informed of something then left in the dark.

In the meantime if you have time, it would be great if you could do the following to help us categorise your problem:
- Go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/storage-area-explorer/ocfjjjjhkpapocigimmppepjgfdecjkb?hl=en
- Install this extension
- go to secure://extensions/
- Enable developer mode by selecting the slider in upper right corner
- Click the "background.html" button in the adblock panel
- After you expand the window, you can press the "Storage explorer" button
- Wait a few minutes for the data to load
- Send us screenshots of this page.

Does anybody know why the adblocker on the AVG secure browser suddenly doesn't work anymore.
This morning it was working fine then suddenly I start getting all the ads on YouTube that had been silenced playing.
I've uninstalled the browser, restarted my laptop and reinstalled the browser, changed the settings to strict and yet despite all this ads continuously appear and I am unsure what to do now having followed advice I saw from others with similar issue.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
The browser does not block ads. You have been dealing with this issue for a month now. Absolutely shocking that a reputable organisation would attempt to fix an non-working upgrade in live at the same time disabling a working version.
I have sourced a free, free-standing extension to replace the AVG version, which I doubt that we'll see this side of Christmas.

You have been repeating that this would be resolved "in not more than 1 more week" for a month now. Please STOP offering hope and expectation where there realistically is none.
I'll certainly not be downloading an extension to perform half-arsed user diagnostics. Who knows what damage it will do - based on the dozens of complaints on this forum about the entire AVG product suite.

Liam, We currently do not have the estimated time of repair for this. You can use the current version of AVG Secure Browser. However, please be assured that we are working to fix it as soon as possible.

Is there any information regarding to the estimated tiem it will take for either the new version of the adblocker to come or the reinstiation of the one that i found to be working perfectly fine to come?
