We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. This is not an expected behavior of AVG Secure Browser for android device. Let us reset the AVG Secure Browser once and check the status.
- Tap the … Menu (three dots) icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Settings (the gear icon), and select Security & Data Settings.
- Tap Reset AVG Browser.

I tried this on both my S8 and S8 Ultra - the book cover keyboards still do not work.
Additionally I downloaded AVG Secure Browser on my S22 Ultra and the on-screen keyboard works perfectly. I plugged it into my docking station (something I'd normally never do with a phone) and the physical keyboard will not work with it. I reset the fresh install of AVG Secure Browser on my phone and the keyboard continues to not work.
I've been using AVG for a long time now on various machines. My current subscription is covering two phones (Android), two Microsoft Surface devices (Windows 11) and most recently two tablets (Android). I got the tablets because I want to switch to a full Android ecosystem (although finding an Android compatable docking station is rough it seems).
So far my only issue is with AVG Secure Browser. On my Windows machines it works fine and is my default browser. The issue is with Android. I haven't tried it on my phones yet, but on the tablets it will not recognize physical keyboards. I can click in the address bar and use my physical keyboards fine (both book cover keyboards and a full sized wired keyboard when connected to my work docking station), but I cannot use the keyboards inside the browser (such as typing a search in to Google).
I have looked through the settings menus and can find no setting that would enable or disable a physical keyboard. Android does recognize all of the keyboards without issues - I can see both my book cover keyboards and Razer keyboard in the Settings menu and they both function fine in Chrome or in other apps (such as Office).
Am I missing a setting somewhere to enable keyboards for use inside AVG Secure Browser for Android?
